Molly Jones hails from Cleveland, Ohio. Now based in the Washington, D.C. area, Molly is the Assistant Principal Cellist of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, and the cellist in Trio Artemesia. She is a founding partner of the Lumino Festival of the Arts, which will begin its debut season in 2018. Set in the mountains of Connecticut, this one-week festival provides an opportunity for young professionals to
focus on their relationship with their art.
In addition to her experience in the United States, Molly studied in Vienna, Austria through the Institute for European Studies. She has a thirst for travel and has enjoyed summers in Italy, Canada, Colorado, and Connecticut for various music festivals. Molly is the cello section coach at Springbrook High School and for the Washington County All-County Orchestra, and her passion for teaching continues to grow as she maintains an active private studio.
Molly is a Doctoral Candidate in Cello Performance at the University of Maryland.
